About the Event
In the mid 19th Century, at the height of the mining boom, Tavistock boasted two breweries and some 29 public houses, of which only six still trade today.
This very popular 1 mile predominantly flat walk will identify past hostelries and breweries and explore their place in the rich history of Tavistock.
The tour will end at one of the town's late 19th Century public house establishments, which will be open for the thirsty and the curious!
