SUMMARY:Drawn to the Valley ~ Summer Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Drawn to the Valley’s annual Summer Art Exhibition brings together artists from along the Tamar Valley. Artists who create unique artworks drawn from diverse\, yet collectively local\, inspiration. \nDrawn to the Valley’s artists span the Devon/Cornwall border and are often inspired by the Tamar\, wild and wonderful landscapes of Dartmoor and the dramatic South West coastlines\, including Plymouth and Saltash. \nThis unique landscape offers the opportunity to explore different textures and mediums\, allowing the artists to draw on and connect with nature through their own interpretations of local landscapes\, plants and animals. \nThe Summer Exhibition will definitely have beautiful artworks to look at\, but also thoughtful pieces that reflect emotions and feelings\, so expect the unusual and different too.

SUMMARY:Live Wire @ Tavistock Wharf
DESCRIPTION:Live/Wire is The AC/DC Show. The unique six-man tribute to rock music’s greatest band AC/DC\, complete with cannons\, a wall of Marshalls’ and over two hours of High Voltage Rock ‘n’ Roll. \nThe AC/DC story is over forty years in the making\, with two specific eras and the band cover both these as always with both ‘Dave’ Bon Scott and ‘Podge’ Brian Johnson present to take you on the Rock and Roll train for a night to remember. \nOriginally fronting AC/DC was the legendary Bon Scott\, a wild man of rock and roll\, whose untimely death shocked the World in 1980. This event came at a time when the Band were sampling global success for the first time. Dave\, a stalwart over many years in his uncanny role as AC/DC’s vivacious vocalist delivers songs from the first half dozen albums from Dirty Deeds to Highway to Hell with Bon’s inimitable attitude\, style and charisma. \nPodge\, then dons the flat cap as Geordie vocalist\, Brian Johnson\, who AC/DC turned to in order to fill the void left by Bon. Brian’s searing vocals Iced Back in Black\, one of the best-selling albums of all time. Podge\, a double take for Brian\, gives a vocal masterclass which is un-paralleled in his half of the show and brings it bang up to date with more classic tracks right up to AC/DC’s hugely successful recent album\, Rock or Bust. \nThe thundering freight train of a rhythm section keep it all meticulously together with Dan as the metronomic Malcolm Young on Rhythm Guitar\, Ed as Cliff Williams on Bass\, and Paul as Phil Rudd and Chris Slade rolled into one. \nWith the Rhythm section ‘locked in’ the freedom of the stage and the music is given to Simon as Angus Young who delivers an uncanny performance with meticulous detail in appearance\, energy and his note for note heartfelt renditions song after song. Simon honed his craft over many years and is a livewire during his two-hour plus Axe fettling duck-walking extravaganza of bedevilled Rock and Roll. \nThe band aim to put you slap bang in the middle of the show with hit after hit\, and you are expected to join in ! There will also be one or two gems thrown in for the aficionados.\nWe’d be hung\, drawn and quartered if we didn’t play all the classics and Back in Black\, Rosie and Highway to hell are all there\, and the songs keep on coming until the cannons fire ceremoniously to bring the evening to a superb crescendo. If by this time you are still standing…we salute you! If you love Bon\, Brian and Angus and the boys this show has no parallels !\nLong Live AC/DC\, Long Live LIVE/WIRE

SUMMARY:Walking Tour - A Wander Around Tavistock Abbey
DESCRIPTION:Described by some historians as the wealthiest abbey in the Southwest\, Tavistock Abbey acted as a religious and administrative centre to the region for some 578 years. Its links to the monarchy gave its abbots powers which were not always well used and its unusual layout has yet to be fully understood. This walk\, with Sue Spackman\, explores the abbey’s remains and what we know about its history. A flat walk of approx 90 minutes covering less than 1 mile in length in the heart of Tavistock town. \nThe walk commences at 2pm from outside the Tavistock Visitor Information Centre in Guildhall Square and lasts for 90 minutes. \nTickets are £5 per person

DESCRIPTION:A Chorus of Hope is an inspiring show of a cappella singing calling for unity and resistance. Directed by folk duo Suthering\, Wheelhouse Folk Choir (Tavistock) and The Great Sea Choir (Plymouth) join together\, 100 voices strong\, for this raw and powerful performance. Rooted in folk music but spanning a wide range of musical genres\, this is a show which urges us all to look for hope and unity during dark times. \nThis performance follows the release of both choirs’ debut EP releases in March 2026 which received airplay on BBC radio\, folk radios stations and positive press reviews. \n“In a world which feels as if it’s slowly growing darker\, these small yet beautifully crafted musical gems are the glimmer of light we all need.” – Sam Blackledge\, ITV

SUMMARY:Coda @ Tavistock Wharf
DESCRIPTION:CODA – a Tribute to Led Zeppelin are Europe’s most authentic and exciting Led Zeppelin tribute band\, replicating the power\, excitement and magic of a Led Zeppelin show like no other. They are the only proper four-piece Zep tribute band in Europe that looks and sounds as close to the real thing as possible\, featuring authentic-looking and sounding instruments as well as incredible\, hand- made replica costumes that will take you back to the time when the Gods of Rock ruled the world! \nEvery show features a fantastic selection from classic Led Zeppelin songs such as Whole Lotta Love\, Stairway to Heaven\, Rock and Roll\, Black Dog\, as well as Led Zeppelin live rarities such as When the Levee Breaks\, Ramble On\, Wanton Song and much more. The band can also perform a wide variety of Led Zeppelin’s acoustic songs such as Going to California and That’s the Way and every year CODA add more and more new songs to their repertoire. CODA’s show takes it’s inspiration from the studio recordings\, as well as official (and unofficial!) live recordings to bring you the best of all facets of Led Zeppelin. \nFormed by four musicians with a love of\, and dedication to\, the music of Led Zeppelin\, this is no parody or ego trip\, just an honest and true representation of the music of the greatest rock band ever\, Led Zeppelin\, performed live on stage with no tricks\, backing tracks or safety net! \nIf you like your Led Zeppelin tribute band with big hair\, all the stage moves and excitement of the original band\, an incredible attention to detail unrivaled by any other Led Zeppelin tribute band\, a singer with all the range and power of Robert Plant\, a guitarist with all the riffs and groove of Jimmy Page\,a drummer with the feel and power of John Bonham and a multi-instrumental bassist like John Paul Jones\, this is the Led Zeppelin tribute band for you! \nIn 2018 CODA perfomed a series of three very special shows\, including playing at the very first venue Led Zeppelin ever played\, exactly 50 years to the day! These shows were received to great praise by hundreds of Led Zeppelin fans\, including many who were there at the very beginning: \n“Fantastic show at Gladsaxe from CODA celebrating the birth of Led Zeppelin 50 years ago.” Jerry Ritz\, promoter of Led Zeppelin’s first tour.\n“The fabulous Zeppelin tribute band CODA from England marked on Friday Led Zeppelin’s 50 years with a fabulous concert in the resurrected teen club…CODA were amazing. The same hair\, same poses and same costumes…The more than 400 in the chamber had an experience and clearly expressed their enthusiasm. A worthy mark of the 50 years.”\nJorgen Angel\, rock photographer who took the very first live pictures of Led Zeppelin. “A sincere and moving tribute by a group of excellent\, nay brilliant musicians who captured the spirit of the legendary group perfectly.”

SUMMARY:Teylu Theatre presents Calendar Girls
DESCRIPTION:Based on a true story and adapted from the hit film\, Calendar Girls follows a group of Yorkshire Women’s Institute members who\, after the death of a friend’s husband from leukaemia\, decide to raise money for charity in an unconventional way: by producing a ‘nude’ calendar. With only strategically placed props to preserve their modesty\, the women challenge expectations\, spark a media frenzy\, and discover unexpected strength in themselves and each other.  It’s laugh-out-loud funny\, yet deeply moving\, offering audiences a feel-good experience that leaves them uplifted and inspired. Due to the nature of the plot there is some non-sexual nudity (hopefully not too much!) and some moderate swearing\, Parental Guidance for under 16s. \nWe are proud to present Calendar Girls in 2026. The production holds special significance for our team; so many of our members have been personally affected by the various themes explored in the play: cancer; loss; enstrangement; ageism.  And\, just Just like the ladies of Knapley WI\, it was the  camaraderie\, support and laughter of friends that saw us through.\n\nTeylu is delighted to have partnered with the Plymouth Radiotherapy Development Fund for this production\, raising money to enhance patient care.
