The Exon Singers Festival

The Exon Singers are returning to Tavistock for their 58th summer festival of choral and classical music. All events take place at Tavistock Parish Church of St Eustachius, except Thursday evening 30 July, as noted below.
28 JULY: The opening Concert at 7.30 pm features “Five Mystical Songs” by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
29 JULY: Organ Recital by Neil Taylor at 1.10pm
Concert at 7.30 pm features John Rutter’s “Birthday Madrigals”
Followed at 9.00 pm by a candlelit Compline service
30 JULY: Family concert at 1.10 pm by the Haldon Quartet and guests featuring Schubert’s Trout Quintet, with the
chance for children to explore the instruments afterwards
Concert at 8.00 pm at National Trust Buckland Abbey: a meditative evening recital of choral
music by candlelight in the Great Barn
31 JULY: Harp Recital at 1.10 pm by Megan Rickard
6 – 8 pm “Come and Sing” Choral Workshop on Brahms Requiem
1 AUGUST: Final Concert at 7.00 pm by The Exon Singers, Exon Chorus from the workshop and Haldon Ensemble,
featuring Brahms Requiem
2 AUGUST: Festival Choral Eucharist at 9.45 am
