The Granite Way

This is a truly spectacular and mostly traffic free cycle route through rural Devon with fantastic views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside.
The eleven mile multi-use trail is also part of the National Cycle Network Route 27.

Starting just north of Tavistock at Lydford, it is mostly built along the course of the former Southern Region railway line, running through beautiful countryside with fantastic views of the western tors of Dartmoor. The route finishes at Okehampton Station and is ideal for the most novice of cyclists, making it a favourite with families.

Facilities along route: Car parking is available at Okehampton Station, and Lydford. Refreshments available at Okehampton, Meldon and Lydford.
