  • Soul R&B Explosion @ Tavistock Wharf

    The Wharf Canal Road, Tavistock

SOUL & R&B EXPLOSION is a full-scale live concert experience celebrating the music that shaped generations. From the golden era of Motown to 70s funk, 80s groove, 90s R&B and modern soul anthems, this high-energy 9-piece show delivers five decades of iconic music in one unforgettable night. Created by seasoned musician and bandleader Daryl Warren, the vision was simple: capture the electricity of classic big-band soul shows and reimagine them for a modern audience. The result is a powerhouse live production driven by a tight rhythm section, standout lead vocals, and a signature three-piece horn line that brings the unmistakable punch and swagger of a golden-era soul revue. This isn’t a standard covers gig. It’s a carefully crafted journey through the songs that defined dancefloors across generations. Expect seamless medleys, unexpected transitions, and back-to-back classics from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Tina Turner, and 90s R&B favourites that still pack out floors today. Each set is designed to build momentum, taking audiences from smooth, soulful grooves to full-throttle, hands-in-the-air anthems. The show blends authenticity with modern energy, recreating the spirit of legendary live soul performances while delivering a contemporary punch. Whether you grew up with vinyl, cassettes, CDs or playlists, SOUL & R&B EXPLOSION brings the soundtrack of your life back to the stage — bigger, louder and more electrifying than ever.

  • Live Wire @ Tavistock Wharf

    The Wharf Canal Road, Tavistock

Live/Wire is The AC/DC Show. The unique six-man tribute to rock music's greatest band AC/DC, complete with cannons, a wall of Marshalls' and over two hours of High Voltage Rock 'n' Roll. The AC/DC story is over forty years in the making, with two specific eras and the band cover both these as always with both 'Dave' Bon Scott and 'Podge’ Brian Johnson present to take you on the Rock and Roll train for a night to remember. Originally fronting AC/DC was the legendary Bon Scott, a wild man of rock and roll, whose untimely death shocked the World in 1980. This event came at a time when the Band were sampling global success for the first time. Dave, a stalwart over many years in his uncanny role as AC/DC’s vivacious vocalist delivers songs from the first half dozen albums from Dirty Deeds to Highway to Hell with Bon’s inimitable attitude, style and charisma. Podge, then dons the flat cap as Geordie vocalist, Brian Johnson, who AC/DC turned to in order to fill the void left by Bon. Brian's searing vocals Iced Back in Black, one of the best-selling albums of all time. Podge, a double take for Brian, gives a vocal masterclass which is un-paralleled in his half of the show and brings it bang up to date with more classic tracks right up to AC/DC’s hugely successful recent album, Rock or Bust. The thundering freight train of a rhythm section keep it all meticulously together with Dan as the metronomic Malcolm Young on Rhythm Guitar, Ed as Cliff Williams on Bass, and Paul as Phil Rudd and Chris Slade rolled into one. With the Rhythm section ‘locked in’ the freedom of the stage and the music is given to Simon as Angus Young who delivers an uncanny performance with meticulous detail in appearance, energy and his note for note heartfelt renditions song after song. Simon honed his craft over many years and is a livewire during his two-hour plus Axe fettling duck-walking extravaganza of bedevilled Rock and Roll. The band aim to put you slap bang in the middle of the show with hit after hit, and you are expected to join in ! There will also be one or two gems thrown in for the aficionados. We’d be hung, drawn and quartered if we didn’t play all the classics and Back in Black, Rosie and Highway to hell are all there, and the songs keep on coming until the cannons fire ceremoniously to bring the evening to a superb crescendo. If by this time you are still standing…we salute you! If you love Bon, Brian and Angus and the boys this show has no parallels ! Long Live AC/DC, Long Live LIVE/WIRE
